Argyll & Bute - Blairmore & Strone Golf Club

Play a Braid-designed parkland course

Set on the hills above Strone, this Braid designed golf course was opened in 1896 and is designed on a mixture of hilly and flat parkland, so it's great for golfers who like a challenge.

There are large areas of deep rough bordering most fairways to add to the challenge, and some pretty impressive views of Loch Long, Holy Loch and the Firth of Clyde as you continue on your round.

The third hole in particular is likely to bring out your competitive spirit. The approach is steep with an equally steep left to right slope. The fifth hole, although shorter, has a similar right to left slope that can catch out even the most experienced of golfers.
