This course provides a satisfying round for all abilities

Near to Inverness city centre, Inverness Golf Club has an 18-hole parkland course which is suitable for all handicappers. More about playing golf in Inverness.

The course has been used in the past to host the the Northern Open for Scottish golf professionals. The overall yardage is 6,256 yards, configured as five lengthy pat threes, eleven par fours and two short par fives.

A particular stand-out moment comes on the 12th hole where there are some stunning views over Inverness to Kessocl Bridge and across to the Black Isle. Avid golfers will also appreciate the par four 14th hole, which requires length off the tee as well as extreme accuracy to navigate the narrow approach to the green.

According to Frank Pennink's Choice of Golf Courses, the course is the "home of left-handers in Scotland, there being 40 or 50 members who play 'the wrong way round'. At one time there were so many that the boxes were placed on the left hand side of the tees!"
