Burntstump Country Park is a great place to reconnect and recharge in the great outdoors. The park consists of mostly woodland, with an area of grassland and a cricket pitch. This country park has become a favourite for families in the area.

The park offers a good opportunity for a gentle stroll. There are two walks that you can choose from, both of which start from the main car park.

Two walks are available. Both start from the main car park next to the Sherwood Lodge Police Headquarters, but they can also be joined from the public house.

The shorter of the walks (3/4 mile, 1.2km) is fairly flat and suitable for disabled access. The second walk, which is slightly longer at 1.5 miles (2.5 km), contains more climbs and descents, it can be shortened or lengthened by using any of the paths that criss-cross the main route.
