County Antrim - The Giant's Causeway
Follow in the footsteps of giants
Northern Ireland's most popular tourist destination and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Giant’s Causeway is famous for its basalt columns and iconic staircase-structure, which is the result of volcanic eruptions that took place over 65 million years ago.
As well as admiring the Causeway itself, you can also pop into the National Trust Visitors' Centre and gift shop or enjoy less crowded views of the iconic rock formation from the various walking trails nearby.
