County Antrim - The Antrim Loop

A scenic, circular route round County Antrim

Antrim is a great town for cycling with opportunities to explore the National Cycle Network and other traffic free paths. The 5-mile (7km) Antrim loop is an excellent circular route around the town with traffic-free waterside cycling and pretty scenery.

The loop starts just beyond Antrim Lough Shore Park and continues through the beautiful Rea’s wood, along the Six Mile Water River, into the beautiful 400-year old gardens of Antrim Castle Gardens and Clotworthy House. The wonderful views over Belfast Lough will make all that pedalling worthwhile!

The loop takes you back to where you started, making transport decisions that bit easier.
