Derbyshire - Bakewell Golf Club

You won't be disappointed by the views (or holes) at this course

As you take your shots on the course at Bakewell, you can enjoy glorious views of the surrounding hills overlooking the market town of Bakewell.

If you're holidaying in the Peak District and need to scratch that golf itch, this is the course for you!

Bakewell Golf Club was founded in 1899 and was designed by George Lowe, who also designed Royal Birkdale and Royal Lytham & St Annes. Although Bakewell is a more modest course, the challenge is no less enjoyable.

The course runs out and back along the hillside to the east of the town. Although only 5244 yards in length (par 68) for the men and 4681 yards (par 69) for the ladies, the course has some small, fast greens that have deceptive borrows and will keep you on your toes. You'll need to pull of a variety of tricky shots to keep that score low.
