Flintshire - Shotwick Lake Sailing Club

Hone your sailing skills at Shotwick Lake Sailing Club

Shotwick Lake is on the edge of the Dee estuary, which can be reached easily from North Wales. Formerly known as ‘Corus Colors Sailing Club’, the lake was recently bought by new owners and is now the Shotwick Lake Sailing Club.

The club prides itself on being a friendly, supportive, and helpful place with a strong and growing membership. If you’re looking to polish your sailing skills or maybe try sailing or windsurfing for the first time, you’re in the right place. Shotwick is a recognised RYA-approved training centre and has a wide range of training opportunities for all ages in dinghy sailing, windsurfing and powerboating.

It’s also undergoing a series of upgrades and changes to make the club and its facilities more accessible for disabled sailors – such as ramp access and a winch.

The lake is a relaxing and safe environment to sail in and members can often be found picnicking or having barbecues at the lake with their families during the summer months.
