Anglesey - Telor Cycle Tour

Try this 17-mile circular route with coastal views

Starting and finishing at Beaumaris, this 17-mile circular route is perfect for bike fanatics who appreciate amazing coastal views and challenging hills.

The trail starts in the heart of the bustling, picturesque town of Beaumaris on the shores of the Menai Straits and guides you along quiet country lanes with stunning views of the historic Beaumaris Castle, Penmon Priory, Blackpoint Lighthouse and Puffin Island.

You’ll encounter some steep sections along the way, up Arthur Hill Fort, through Llanfaes and past Penmon Point. It’s worth factoring in some extra time to explore the area around Trwyn Du lighthouse.

The route then climbs through the village of Llanddona, complete with views of Red Wharf Bay, and then returns back to Beaumaris.

Penmon Priory is usually open and well worth a visit for the 400-year-old dovecote and the ancient wishing well in the walled garden.
