Anglesey - Cors Bodeilio Nature Reserve
Visit Cors Bodeilio Nature Reserve, an internationally important wetland.
The Cors Bodeilio nature reserve is an internationally important wetland and home to many rare wildlife species. It has a unique mire (wetland area) without forest cover where the mineral rich water from the surrounding limestone creates the perfect conditions for rare plants, animals and birds.
Despite its name (cors means Bog), it is in fact a fen – one of the three fens on Anglesey that have been designated as National Nature Reserves.
It’s the perfect place for a weekend walk, wildlife spotting and viewing the beautiful display of wildflowers in spring and summer. There are two main walking trails to choose from: the 1.2km Fen Walk and the 2.3km Fen and Meadow Trail. Both are easy and accessible for all ages and abilities. So, grab your binoculars and walking shoes and explore!
